Give Us 60 Seconds and We Will Give You Good Reason To Vote Lib Dem - Hughes

New Party President, Simon Hughes MP, has laid down the challenge to Party members to deliver the key Party messages to the public in 'just a minute'.

Mr Hughes has demonstrated just how Liberal Democrat policies can be put to voters on the doorstep in 60 seconds.

Simon Hughes said:-

"My job is to project our Party and our policies to the public. We know our policies based on freedom, fairness and trust are attractive to communities across the country. The political tide is turning. People young and old, male and female, and from different ethnic backgrounds are supporting us in ever greater numbers.

"We are in a new era of three party politics. People have a real chance to change the way politics is done in Britain today. But they need to know what we stand for, who we are and what we would do in government. Our task - my task, and that of every single activist knocking on doors up and down the country, will be to explain simply and quickly why people should vote Liberal Democrat at the next General Election.

"Like Radio 4's classic Just a Minute, our challenge is to say - give us 60 seconds and we will give you a good reason to vote Lib Dem."
