Sue Henchley - the positive local choice for Mitcheldean & Drybrook

Following the sad death of local Councillor George Read MBE, a by-election will be held in the Mitcheldean and Drybrook ward of the Forest of Dean District Council. The Liberal Democrats have selected local resident Sue Henchley as their candidate for the by-election which will be held on Thursday 20th August.

Sue has lived in the Forest of Dean for many years at Braecroft, Jubilee Road, Mitcheldean. She has always been active in the community and has years of experience as both a District Councillor and Parish Councillor. She is widely respected for her work in Mitcheldean and Drybrook and across the Forest of Dean.

She is a physiotherapist, and worked for the NHS in Ross on Wye and Herefordshire until her retirement. She now has a small private practice in Ross. As a physiotherapist, a high proportion of her work has been with children with disabilities and with older people, and her other activities reflect these interests.

She is a respected member of the Governing bodies of both Dene Magna School and the Heart of the Forest Community Special School.

Sue is on the management committee of Forge, the local charity which provides assistance for blind and partially sighted people of all ages. She is involved in fund-raising for this excellent organisation.

She also delivers lunches to older people for the local branch of Age Concern on one day a week.

Because Sue lives in Mitcheldean and Drybrook, she knows what's going on. She can be trusted to stand up for the area and will make sure that all local residents get the best possible deal from the Council.

Sue is the positive local choice in this election. If you live in Mitcheldean and Drybrook, please give her your support on Thursday 20th August.

If you can help the Liberal Democrat campaign, please let us know.
