The Liberal Democrat candidate for the Forest of Dean has thanked voters for their support in the Election held here on 6th May.

The Liberal Democrats received their best ever result in the constituency winning over 10,000 votes and a 5% rise in their share of the vote. Labour have seen their vote fall by 50% in the last 6 years.

Chris said: "I want to thank everyone who voted for me in this election. Whilst we did not win the seat this time, the result gives us a solid base from which to contest future elections."

There are important local Council elections next May and the Liberal Democrats will be campaigning hard to make progress then as well. Anyone interested in standing as a Liberal Democrat candidate in those elections should email Chris using the link at the top of the page.
